“These keycaps are great. To add legends to these keycaps, I just printed the artwork on acetate then placed each inside the keycap to give a very professional finish. I searched high and low for similar keycaps but it seems that only the Pihut sells them.”
“These fit standard cherry style switches perfectly, and they allowed me to neatly label my budget gaming "macro pad" buttons so I no longer have to try to REMEMBER what functions I've allocated to each. They allow a reasonable amount of RGB backlight through and defuse it across the cap acceptably well.
The easiest way I found to label them was with a cheap Dymo label printer and clear labelling tape. This allowed the backlight through and looks very presentable.
The only negative I can think of is that the covers are slightly "Frosted" to give them a matt effect, and this can make seeing the tiny fonts I used on some of the labels a bit challenging unless I'm looking directly down on them.
I'm intending to get more of them soon so I can make a few game specific sets of caps for a couple of games that have oddball control options.”
“Even without the customisability, these are great smaller keycaps for use on smaller devices like macropads, input devices or handmade widgets at a great price. I did experience a small issue when trying to remove the key, and instead getting the clear cover partially of and stuck between the key and the case of the device I was using, but for a simple and affordable solution to customisable keycaps that seems ok to me.”
