I tried other microphones and they didn't have this issue in the same setup. I tried to write to the manufacturer, but after a long email exchange, they referred me to their mic division and they never really responded. For my project, I can live with the noise as it can be partially removed, but it shouldn't really be the case...”
“Got the kit from PiHut in time. After installing on my Pi3, things worked as promised. Just does as advertised, therefore not very flexible without buying the add’l software to create own vocabulary to recognize. Most disappointing for me is the manufacturer’s support (www.andreaelectronics.com). When recording .wav files with the device using the SW provided there is a constant disturbing noise in the audio. I wrote the the support via the contact form on their website how to correct that. No reaction at all :-(. At this quality level of recordings I do not like that kit.”
