Excellent little screen, very clear and bright. Great fun to play about with.

Screen arrived as expected. It was smaller than I had imagined, but then it's difficult to judge size from a picture. It does the job that I wanted it for, so I'm pleased.

Brilliant, inexpensive way to add a display of a few vital statistics to any Raspberry Pi project - e.g. its IP address and CPU load.

This display is really cute and very legible even at a distance. The Python code supplied by Adafruit is quite a mess, you get 15 FPS with a 50% CPU load, so not very useful if you do other work in the background, e.g. audio. However, when using a properly tuned I2C kernel module and my own optimized C driver for the SSD1306 I got buttery smooth 120 FPS frame rates at 5% CPU load. Also worth mentioning is that the SSD1306 has a contrast control feature, but the dynamic range is quite limited, so not suitable for fade-in/out effects.

Simple to install and incredibly flexible. It even allows for animation. Gonna be used quite a bit.
