“Great little bonnet. Some assembly is required, just some basic soldering as detailed in the description. Best of all it does work on a Raspberry Pi 5 although you might need to get up to speed on virtual environments to get the Servokit library installed.”
“I want to make a few small robots using raspberry Pi zeros so I got this as a controller for motors and servos. Bit of overkill at the moment but connects well to zero, wished I had soldered the Pins sideways though as will make for neater cabling. Adurfruit have very good and clear Setup and code available on the web site. No doubt will purchase another one.”
“The Servo Bonnet arrived promptly and was easy enough to solder together (even with my bulky soldering iron). Following the guide, I down-loaded the utility and attached a power supply, and hey presto, it worked first time! In no time I had two servos attached and had written some simple code to have them moving how I wanted.
Good job.”
“The bonnet can easily be connected to my Raspberry Pi 4. Although same issue. It would be nice if a link where more information or instructions how to use it. Makes it easier for a beginner like me”
“Bought a couple of weeks ago, quite a bit of fiddly soldering, but easily manageable. Works very well, the tutorial is great and takes you through setup to operation. Setting up the limits of each servo movement is a bit by trial and error, but is doable and not too onerous. I have only tried it with servos, s cannot speak about stepper motors or anything else. A good addition to the versatility of the Pi.”
