That was very deceiving. I couldn't mount the transparent cover! :-( I used the black base only...

After opening the lens hole with 7 mm drill, camera module fitted well.

This is an excellent, minimal case. However, I found to my cost that the caution about the additional thickness of the V2 camera is no idle warning. When I first used it, there was no problem, except that the pictures were very blurred. I adjusted the focus on the camera - thereby making it fractionally taller - and replaced the cover, which initially refused to snap back on. The pressure was sufficient to destroy the camera, so do please remove the sticky pad as advised!

Fits a Pi board camera, just snaps together, note that if you have a camera that's smaller than the Pi board, it will just be loose inside the case

This does not fit with my v2.1 camera. My guess is that there is a bad batch as support wanted me to press this home to fit, so maybe not all are effected. In my case the clear cover was 2mm short of closing and any further force would have cracked the board or damaged the camera sensor. Pihut should acknowledge this in the description to be fair. I refused to force it and was offered a replacement. However for a £3 unit the return + postage from both sides would have exceeded the value of this item and pihut offered a refund. I decided afterwards to see if I could make it fit by cutting down the pins that are used to locate the camera board. There is a lip halfway down and even cutting down the peg to this point, the camera refused to sit low enough for the case cover to be closed. I cut the pegs lower and now the camera rattles in its casing. So I broke the mount, if i packed it out it may work. A second point I noticed is that if you were to screw a camera mount into the base there is no tention on the thread to clip onto. Product needs to be refined. Would not reccomend as it is.

This item is excellent, it fits the standard and noir camera perfectly. The 1/4” tripod thread is great and fitted my Joby Gorillapod unit making positioning of the camera very easy.
