“A very well-made product. I use it in a different way to keep flat and square my aluminum plates under a fiber laser. One of the big bonuses is you can download (modify if need it) and 3D print jaws from their website. It is not cheap but is very good for all kinds of applications.”
“It is designed to fit small boards and does hold the boards well and it has its purpose. It not heavy and can move easily, so you need the correct surface. You have to buy the heat resistant PTFE Jaws which comes at an extra cost. They should come in with the price as standard not extra buy. As you probably know if you do board repair you do need several different kind of board holders. This one is most suitable for NS board I found. Expensive business and little reward.”
“Simple, easy, does whats advertised. The factory-supplied soft jaws (made from nylon?) are okay even when using a hot air soldering station. Sometimes it may be a bit handier if the rod would only be 2/3 the length, but whatever. Recommended.”
“This is the best vise I have found for assembling small SMD boards. Be careful with your fingers around the springs and rods though. It holds the board steady with weight alone and is quick to adjust.”
“I prefer having my boards on the table rather than up in the air when soldering. This helps enormously with holding them in place — can't ask for any more. It's a really well made piece of kit.”
