“I had problems with this at first when powering it via the Vin using an Arduino or ESP32. Discovered that it's minimum input voltage is 6.5v, so unsurprisingly it didn't work when connected to Arduino or ESP32, even though the Adafruit tutorial shows this working! As soon as I supplied >6.4 volts via the 'Power' connections (not the Vin) all worked fine. Compact, little controller with good input voltage range and reasonable current output.”
