This i2s dac/amp combo is amazing given how small it is. I am using it to make a mobile connected speaker, and so I wanted to keep the power budget for my Pi Zero W + amp to 5 watts (so it can be powered off a standard USB power bank). I’m running the amp off the Pi’s 5V pin which seems fine. This amp does the job well, and gets surprisingly loud, even though I’m using the default 9dB gain and could go up to 12 or 15. Sound quality is also pretty good. On the negative side, it’s only mono, which isn’t an issue for me but may be for you. Also it makes an annoying pop every time audio starts. Finally, the included header has thin pins, which means some jumper cables won’t make good contact very easily.

Paid to have NBD delivery. I had missed the 3pm cut off but even at that it took 4 days for item to appear and by then it was late and I had already managed to order from another supplier who could keep to their promise of sending the items out for next day.

This is simple to use and the adafruit tutorial got it setup right away for me. I've got it driving a nice small speaker for a project and I'm happy with it. It's also very small which fits well for me.

really nice little amp I have made a "Sonos" type device using a RPi, this amp and a small 5W 8 Ohm speaker using the runeaudio system. I have also connected an old I pod I had kicking around and set it all up hidden away in the airing cupboard with the speaker in the bathroom. Only problem is the water gets cold (lol). This really is a fantastic little amp.
