“This is my third Mini Relay, all have been well made and seem to be working fine when outside in a sealed container, just a note on its operation, the relay makes a clicking noise when it switches from one side to the other, so not silent operation, also when it is tripped either a red or green led flashes. I have been using this relay with a Raspberry Pi Pico, I used a separate 3v feed to power it, also the output from the Pico is not enough to switch it on/off, so I used two NPN transistors tripped by the Pico to switch it instead.”
“Great little relay, I have purchased two of these for use on various projects, being a latching relay, it does not need any power to hold in position when triggered, just a short pulse to either of the two terminals to switch on or off, but you will need a 3v feed and earth for it to work as well as the pulses, the 3v output from a Raspberry Pi is ok to power it so not a problem.”
“good relay, you do have to solder on the headers so you can attach the cables, you will need a 3v feed and earth to power it, then there is two other connections to trip it in each direction, finally there is the terminal block to solder in place for the power leads you are controlling, there is a loud click when it operates plus either a green or red led, depending which way it is tripped, did look to see if I could control it direct for my Raspberry Pi GPIO pins, but it looks like it needs 30mA to trip, which is too much, ended up adding a transistor to trip the relay just in case.”
