Good addition to case, and sets off the pi beautifully. Only slight observation is it is a very tight fit.

Bought this to replace a very old Pi (first model) that runs (more like stumbles my weather station. Got the new one, flashed the SD card with Stretch Lite, install the weather software (CumulusMX), and that was it. Sits by the weather console and just works!

So, my friend said, "It's only a Raspberry Pi, just sling it in a black bin bag and be done with it." So I said to him, I said, "This is the Raspberry Pi 3 A+, the last of the classical Raspberry Pi design. It's going to have a lid, and probably a case to go with that lid." These are made from polycarbonate, so they're tough, but not scratch proof. Don't leave them near a bunch of youths, or they might put a graffito on it. The current colours are a bit limited, but that shouldn't distract from buying one. In the future I'd like to see combinations such as: Yellow lid & black case -- encapsulate the fearsomeness of nature, by making your single board computer look like a bee. Green lid & purple case -- emulate the Joker's styles. Brown lid & brown case, decorated with gold accents -- bring out the pirate, or dungeon adventurer, in your computing hobby by making it look like a chest full of the treasure of self-learning.

I'm sorry but I do not see how a lid can be rated it either fits or it doesn't. I am not overly impressed by the case it fits to, the small catch in the middle of one side makes it very difficult to get the pi board in or out (Very tough and marks the pi board) on removal I noticed that the board had been damaged between the pins and when it came out it also went suddenly and ripped the SD card retainer from the board. I rectified this by purchasing another Pi3A+ and removing the little retaining clip in the case and drilling 4 holes one in each corner and putting in 4 tiny screws, job done but expensive, at least the pi is held firmly and comes out easy if it should need to be removed. If you have no intentions of removing the board once it is in then fine otherwise make sure you remove the micro SD card before you attempt to remove the board. The lid clicks on and clicks off again, what can I say. Colin Wellard.

I like the lid, it's well-finished and a good fit in the case. I'm not sure it's a fault with the lid itself, but when a Pi Camera is attached to a Pi3A by its ribbon cable, the camera is free to float about in the case. Should the lid have some extra holes or pins to line up with the camera mounting holes?
