“I bought some of those to solder thin wires to them to create my own RGB strip... clearly I overestimated my soldering skills, they are too small for me! I bought then the 5050 led breakout pcbs to solder the LEDs to them first and then connect them (pcbs) with wires. This works for me, but still is a bit tricky. The good thing is all the LEDs I tried to solder on my own are still working fine, so they have to be more robust than I expected (I was convinced some of them would die as probably I was overheating them trying to align them in place).”
