“The available real-estate on the PCB is not large but still perfect for small projects. The 40-pin IDC can support the board on its own , but it is better to use the 11mm stand-offs as well. It is surprisingly easy to remove the 40-pin socket from the header when you grab the Proto.With a slight corner modification I am using the Proto in the 'Offical Case for 7-in touchscreen'and the its lid locks on ok with the Proto mounted. I fitted a 2-pin JST connector on the Proto to power the Touchscreen as well, which is needed as the 'Offical Case' does not provide otherwise a good solution to power the LCD.”
