“The cable is very useful for accessing the GPIO on the Pi 400 because there can be problems plugging cards directly into the back of the keyboard. I was unable to get an IQ Audio DAC+ to work when directly plugged into GPIO port and the card began to overheat. I assume this is because some of the pins were not connecting. The problem was solved with the cable. I haven't so far used the breakout board, however.”
“I ordered the wrong version of the Pi T-Cobbler, of course I wanted the 40-pin breakout, but what arrived was the 26 pin, which is only present on the very first version of the Raspberry Pi. I don't even know why it's on the web site. Unfortunately, Pi Hut did not propose to take it back. I can only hope they remove this outdated product from the web page, or at least clearly indicate that it is outdated.”
“Although connection to a breadboard can be done with individual jumpers this is a lot simpler. The clear labelling of the connections reduces the risk of errors that could cause component damage.”
