“Lots of my 'smart home' devices use these cells, and the rechargeable version is about the same price, so it seems crazy not to use it. However, it's really hard to find decent chargers for rechargeable button cells - lots of the ones on sites like eBay have poor charging circuitry which could damage the cells or even cause fires.
I saw this charger on the Web site of the designer who is based in the US, but the postage to the UK is as much as the device itself. I don't know if the Pi Hut import these in bulk or have found a UK-based manufacturer, but the end result is that it's possible to buy the device here. Brilliant!”
