“Does what it says on the tin - joins ribbon cable. For newcomers (like me) to this hardware the clip just lifts, you insert the cable (blue side up) so contacts facing down and reset the clip down again. I can confirm the clip is relatively robust after dropping the webcam a few times it still maintains a good connection. Would have been useful to know I needed this when I ordered the ribbon cable and saved postage - maybe it could be a suggested purchase? hope this helps”
