“Works perfectly, used these to allow smart control of two bathroom extractor fans whose isolator switches were in awkward locations.
Small form factor allowed me to place these inside the fan housing so safely after the isolator and access to a neutral.
Switching protocol to ZigBee was easy - 5x press on button on rear. Adopted into Home Assistant via Zigbee2mqtt which was quick, worked flawlessly since.”
“I would agree with John H, the documentation is rather poor and I was unable to configure the device without the app on the iPhone. Switched to FireFox on a Linux PC and it all worked wonderfully. Having got it to work, the product is really great. Does exactly what I need, just need a few more.
I declined to use the app because of the terms and conditions.”
“A very flexible feature-rich product that is let down by truely awful software and documentation! First problem is at the time of writing the web interfaces (both AP for initial setup and local network for management) do not work in webkit browsers (Safari on Mac and any browser on iPhone or iPad). The printed instructions in the box (which anyone over 40 will need a powerful magnifying glass to read!) are woefully inaccurate and best ignored. The different UI and communications options seem to offer different subsets of functionality often presented differently and with inconsistent naming. It is one of those real head-bangers where everything seems to be possible, but nothing actually works as you would hope. But this is really powerful, good value hardware and I really hope they get the software sorted soon as all its competitors I have tried have disappointed in one way or another!”
“Wow, really tiny! mounted in behind the switch on the wall, can turn on manually or remotely. Connected to Home assistant really easily, and gives me a bluetooth proxy by the front door, without the wife even noticing!”
“A really excellent small gadget isf you have an electrician handy to fit it. Makes any light switch remotely controllable and has an unfussy control system that does not nag but is easily integrated with Google or Alexa.”
