“I’ve set the variable switch on the device to the lowest power consumption setting. It works extremely well keeping my Chinese 100,000mAh power bank on without the automatic switch turning off. It’s been in use now for over 2 weeks with no problems. Very happy with this elegant and simple solution.”
“I was amazed when I ordered this and it arrived the next day. My only minor concern is how fragile it may be without a protection case and would be willing to pay for a more robust unit but it worked as described perfectly.
My use case for your list of weird uses cases is I needed a travel fridge to keep small microscopic samples cold as I move them from country to country. Ebay and amazon sell USB powered coffee flask sized very small fridges designed to keep insulin pens cold and that are allowed in plane hand luggage. These work fine in cars etc where they can be plugged in for a long drive but on a battery pack once they get cold enough they stop drawing power for a few minutes and then the battery turns off, so then the friedge gets warm again. Using your “powerbank keepalive” I was able to keep this travel fridge running for as long as the battery lasted.”

“I made one of these some years ago and it proved it's worth. However my design wasn't adjustable so I was probably drawing more current than was necessary and so reducing battery life for no benefit, so this device is a significant improvement. To use it you'll need a number of different USB / Micro-USB cables.”
