I bought these for control of since heaters and they work flawlessly, perfect for what we needed then for. The only thing I found was the wording on the instructions for wiring wasn't as clear as it could be and it required a Google search to confirm how the wiring actually should be

I could not get the Shelly app to communicate locally with the device but I suspect that's an app issue. The Shelly1 relay itself works perfectly. Integrated into Home Assistant very easily. Does the job. The overall size is a little bigger than I would've liked but you can check from the dimensions whether that is an issue in your case.

Excellent little relay, which I've used to add a time schedule to the live feed of a bathroom extractor fan. It has a built-in web interface, so you could run this without any hub. I'm using HomeAssistant, and once I'd connected it to the wifi it was a piece of cake to set up. I needed a deeper wall-box, but then was able to fit the relay behind the existing isolator switch.

I found the Shelly Gen 3 somewhat disappointing. Only a few of the api calls work and the online documentation provides little help as to why. I get the impression that using the Shelly phone ap is the expected way to use the devices rather than providing an api for developers. Tethering to a Bluetooth thermometer is still a mystery to me.
