“You can get other smart plugs a lot cheaper than these but they do not give you all the options on how to connect and control that these plugs do. If you are serious about home automation then the shelly line of smart plugs is the way to go. They support connection and control via bluetooth, via wifi and shelly cloud service, wifi with no cloud service, and they also have a built in wifi AP in case you want to use that method. I have found them to be simple to set up and easy to use unlike some other manufacturers plugs I have tried. The fact that you don't need to connect them to manufacturers cloud services is a game changer for me.”
