“Got this as a birthday present. I found it a bit of a challenge to setup (who invented the PCIe microscopic flexible cable interface interface?)
Perseverance was worth it. A quality bit of kit and the nmve interface (the whole reason for this case) is excellent. Running at about 30-ish DegC playing ripped (legally) videos”
“A great case. A bit on the chunky side e but feels well made. I didn’t gave enough screws to secure the lid, but it’s held in place with magnets and I can find the screws elsewhere if I need to. No issues with the M.2 adapter after checking everything was securely in place.”
“Very neat and easy to setup. Gives a pi5 with nvme.m2 neat protective portable casing with some opportunities for extensions and projects. I’m just using mine as a Ubuntu native flashing os.”
“Really well made, and makes the Pi so much more convenient for desktop use to have all the cables from the back. The one negative point is that the installer script installs lots of stuff that doesn't seem to be necessary (Firefox? Necessary? Really, when I already have Chromium?). I found that you don't need to run Argon's installer script just to use the NVMe and front connectors. The dtoverlay (and changing the boot order if you want to boot from NVMe) is all that's required.”
“This case, the Argon ONE V5 M.2 for the Raspberry Pi 5 is an excellent enclosure for the Pi5. Sturdy, well designed, and very good at keeping things inside cool. Assembly was as easy as one can want and very well laid out.”
