Regardless of its presence or absence, the power will cut off after a few seconds, or, if the powerbanks is in trickle mode, two hours later.

“Just does not work for me: has absolutely no effect on the time it takes for my powerbank (Anker 730 powercore 24k) to go to sleep.
The power bank enters sleep mode in under two minutes regardless of the presence or absence of the "KeepAlive".
Using a USB monitor, I was able to verify that the "KeepAlive" does draw current intermittently (half a watt every few seconds for a short time) so it does what it is supposed to do, but this is not enough to prevent sleep mode.
I hate it when "smart" objects prevent you from using them as you need...”
“Used this with a bog standard power bank feeding a pico w temperature sensor. Previously this would power down when the sensor was not being polled, not any more. Does exactly what it says on the tin.”
