“Nice case, easy to fit the Pi into and good for mounting on wall to keep out of the way. Inserting SD card is a little fiddly once the case is in place but otherwsie very good.”
“Thios is a sturdy aluminium case for the Pi5. I bought it mainly because it has VESA mounting capability and I wanted to fix my Pi behind a TV to use as a desktop machine.
However, I found it very fiddly to actually get the Raspberry Pi into the case, involving quite a few attempts to get the Pi into the correect position. Getting the top on was even more difficult. I ended up having to use pliers to pull the sides of the case out while I fitted the cutouts around the USB and Cat6 ports.
Having fitted the Pi the case gets hotter than I was expecting.
The other thing is really down to me not having read the details of the case. I want to have a camera on my set up. There is no specific slot for the camera cable but a general gap between the top and the main case. I have routed the camera cable through this but not got if fully connected yet.
I haven't been able to try the VESA mounts yet but they are provided seperately and look like they will be relatively easy to connect to the case.”
“Excellent case. Just drops one star because the lid was a bit fiddly to snap into place the first time. Other than that, it's ideal and the optional VESA base fittings allow me to screw it to a baseplate.”
