“This little board is amazing. This is a combination of so many features. I've used this board with both Microblocks.fun and with Python programming. I have 3d printed some parts to make a castor and sensor brackets and it's so simple to make a simple autonomous robot with beeps and lights. It's a lovely introduction to using the Pico to do useful things, and the various sockets work well with servos - including continuous rotation servos, sensors and LEDs. I've bought several for teaching in school and the students really take to them very quickly. The battery charger is such a bonus and makes the Pico work away from having to be tethered via USB. Put in a Pico W and connect to Microblocks for bluetooth programming - so convenient! There is a Microblocks library available, although it's just as easy to use the standard libraries. Pair with continuous rotation servos, wheels, infrared proximity sensors / ultransonic sensors and more. This is a such a great value addition to the Pi Pico and makes life so easy.”
“I bought this board to make servo and distance sensors a little easier to hook up. The additional features on the board, such as the LEDs, make it great for testing code output visually. The 18650 is also an interesting feature for devices that need a little more power. For the price this was a great addition to the toolbox.”
“A very nice board for prototyping. I think it is more geared towards their set of component blocks than my use case. Accordingly most of the connections are male pins rather than female sockets.
One advantage, if you buy the optional battery, is this is very portable. I paired mine with a Pico WH - which is my standard Pico configuration; I would recommend people use the WH rather than soldering the headers on themselves, and rather than the Pico (non-W).”
