The watchy docs only go over watchy v3. This is a watchy v2, and will require some research to figure out how to work it properly. I thought I had broken mine but was releived when I got it working. Watchy is great, ultimate tinkerers toy!

Pretty darn good all things considering, maybe if the down button would work it would have been nice but just a simple reflow solder job ☺

Amazing product! The PlatformIO setup is very easy (aside from autocomplete for programs like vim - running ‘pio project init —ide vim’ is required and is not listed in the docs). The battery life lasts for a few days or longer with Wi-Fi usage and even longer without. It can be difficult to assemble, but that’s all part of the fun! Using the double sided tape included for the battery to fix it to the case helps, but be careful if you want to change cases in the future. Step counter works great and a vibration motor is a nice touch instead of a buzzer. The Watchy library can be restrictive at times and the base build uses around 80% storage but memory does not run out quickly unless you use lots of large fonts. Tip for future travellers: All variables are reset when the watch deep sleeps ( when it isn’t actively drawing the watch face ) so marking variables with RTC_DATA_ATTR keeps them. However, only basic types like ints and bools are preserved so workarounds will be needed to store vectors, Strings and other types.
