Easy setup in Home Assistant and quickly paired devices to it. However in my case I found Zigbee2MQTT far better than ZHA in all departments, providing so much more information and great UI.

Fantastic dongle for use with Home Assistant OS and the ZHA integration. Detected automatically and the Zigbee device pairing was very simple. At time of writing the Thread functionality was still experimental, so cannot provide any comment on this.

Before buying this I used the Sonoff 3.0 device. This worked well apart from randomly losing contact with a device requiring a rebinding before it would respond to commands again. The SkyConnect seems to have solved this problem and I haven't lost contact with any of my 40+ devices since installing.

Home Assistant has and continues to play a huge role in my life for the last 2 years, therefore I embrace any new features that are introduced by the Naba Casa team. As well as Zigbee, SkyConnect also supports Matter. Matter is still very much in an infant stage globally, this allows different devices to work together in the smart home environment and the Home Assistant team is ready for this new standard as it matures. Faultless setup, just plug it in and pair your Zigbee devices. Zigbee only works seamlessly with ZHA, but Zigbee2MQTT isn't supported which at the time I was unaware of, however, I can revise my setup so it is easily integrated.

Reasonable price, fast delivery. Easily installed using the supplied usb extender. I am using the device with Home Assistant (of course). It was recognised on boot, the integration installed pretty much automatically and, once I had played around and figured out how the pairing system worked (several ways of doing it but the easiest is using the "Settings > Devices > Devices > Add Device > Add Zigbee device" route from the "devices" settings screen) and learning how to edit discovered entities on the fly to set parameters that I found useful - e.g. identify as a light, rename individual entities, setting icons, etc, on a device from the pairing screen by clicking on the relevant icons - pairing up all my Zigbee devices went smoothly. The Zigbee controller system is a little more "low level" than the DeConz/Phoscon system I previously used which, to my mind, is a plus; there is no need to wait for deConz/Phoscon to "support" new devices by adding it to their database. The devices, if they pair, will appear always as entities - something that does always not happen under deConz/Phoscon. In short: It works. It is not difficult to use. It detects all the devices I have. I would recommend it. Since Zigbee is a mesh system range is effectively "unlimited".
