I bought this because the fan that came bundled with the linked case is always on and too loud. I wanted to be able to have the fan only turn on when the Pi's temperature was high, and it was very easy to get that working. I ran "sudo raspi-config" and set it in the system menu rather than the GUI menu in the instructions.
I was also pleased to find that this fan is much, much quieter than the bundled fan I was previously using (which was annoyingly loud and high-pitched). I can now barely hear it. Great result.”
