“Great product! There are a lot of great apps, so it actually works quite well out of the box, but I bought this so I could easily develop my own software, and if you know Javascript, it's a breeze.
The infrastructure to build applications is really well thought out, and it's also well documented, with a lot of examples. The forums also look quite active.
All of the source code of all of the applications which are available for the watch is available on github, so it's also very easy to find examples of things that other people have done, which can really help as well.
I have a few applications installed, and I've got a couple on there that I've written myself, and I generally get about 4 days battery life, which is pretty good.”
“Overall very pleased with it. My coding skill aren’t really all that great. So it’s good to find that there are a lots of apps available when it comes to customising.
Have been messing around with various clock faces as a result. The fact that it has a pedometer and GPS, are a nice bonus.
But best of all the battery life is amazing. From full charge, it lasted 4 days before I needed to recharge it.”
“Pretty decent watch. Very easy to add your stuff to it & has decent battery life.
The charging pins can irritate the skin, so would be better to be a hidden port ( under the strap? ). HRM appears to be inaccurate, regularly registering under what it should be”
“Great price for such a feature-rich watch. Size and feel of it is similar to apple watch - but has a great eco-system for developing and changing it yourself. Great fun.”
“Really good battery, requires a bit of reading around but, is pretty easy to customise anything on the watch. Bought as a replacement for a pebble watch and has not dissapointed”
“Pretty good and configurable watch, seems to be quite easy to develop for and battery life is really good. I need to tweak it and understand how to work it properly for everyday things, but GadgetBridge appears to do what I need it to, just need some better integration for things like Android timers.”
