“Received case with broken fan. Opened up a support ticket but support kept offering to replace it with one that was incompatible (wrong size or the wrong number of pins). In the end, just ended up buying another fan as it was too much hassle going through support. The rest of the order was fine though.”
“The pikvm project and the product is great. This case is a great steel powder coated enclousure that looks great. It also provides a nice oled screen for output. Note: things do fit pretty snug so be careful on assembling.”
“Very well made case. Feels top notch quality. The fan is small and relatively quiet. The only downside is that it has sufficiently tight tolerances that actually getting the PiKVM to fit took quite a bit of figuring out, jiggling and patience (which I don't have much of). Once ensconced, the fit is perfect however, and really elevates the device to professional standards. However I don't think I'll ever be able to remove the internals ever again without breaking something.”
“I really like this case.
It's made from a good solid grade of steel and it feels like it will protect the precious Raspberry Pi & KVM board very well for the life of those items.
My only minor quibble would be that the mounting method for tiny (but useful) LCD display is very stiff. It felt like I was about to dislodge one or more of the surface mount components on the PCB of the display as I slid it into the holder. The plastic is quite tough and doesn't have a lot of give. You need to be extremely careful!
Other than that tiny gripe, everything fits well and it's a great product.”
