The Seeed XIAO nRF52840 is very good value and worked perfectly for my project using it for a bluetooth smart bike gear shifter. Very fast delivery from The Pi Hut and great customer service.

Great board, incredibly powerful and versatile given the size. Good forum behind it for debugging

My Seeed XIAO BLE nRF52840 has a batch fault. It will charge a 3.7v Lipo battery connected to the Bat + and - terminals, but it won't power the board when the USB power is removed. There's a well-documented history of this issue, but the Pi Hut seem to be selling the defective units. There's a klunky work-around where you link the battery + to the USB 5V pin via a switch, and make sure to manually switch off the battery when connecting to usb power. Me; I bought the board to be charged and powered from the 3.7v battery I bought; I'm bitterly disappointed, and won't be buying anything from the Pi Hut again.

Great little piece of kit, I flashed with Nordic Semiconductor BLE sniffer firmware to use for security research, works perfectly and integrates with wireshark. If you need to increase the range, you can solder a piece of wire to the bluetooth antenna (the tiny blue thing at the opposite end to the usb C socket), you'll see two tiny solder blobs, seems to work even if you bridge them. Start at 25mm, watch the packet rate in wireshark and shorten until you get the best rate. Five stara to Pi Hut too, they're consistently quick and efficient to dispatch and their prices are bang on. Good work!

Excellent little unit even though I'm properly only using a fraction of its capability. I'm using it in a Bluetooth navigation remote control on my motorbike and it works flawlessly. Very pleased with it.

just wiped the device and run if off SWD interface, using nRF connect and VS code. As a hardware engineer, i much prefer the power of segger debug, even the EDU versions, along with pain of complex IDE enviroment. Eventually, in all projects, a bit of single stepping is needded...
