“This is a nice kit and it works well but only if you Use Microsoft Edge or possibly Chrome as your browser. This is possibly because Make Code is hosted by Microsoft, I couldn't get it to work with Firefox.”
“This is a nice kit at a reasonable price but I had problems with the code. First I open the Microsoft Make Code in a browser. I then downloaded the neopixel extension and then copied over the file as in the PI Hut information for this item. I could only get the leds on the tree to light up statically - there was no automatic sequence of colour changes and the only way to change the led lights once per press, was to press either the A or B button on the Microbit. I had the positive and negative leads connect as shown and the yellow lead to the S on the tree and the 0 on the Microbit. I tried reloading umpteen times but always got a static none changing led display. I'm new to the Microbit, but this is supposed to be a beginner's kit, so it shouldn't be this hard to set up?”
“Great item. My 10 year old son loves it. It’s nice to see his enthusiasm for coding progress and things like this really help. We’ve bought him the wearable strap for the microbit too.”
“Really cute introduction to neopixle and rgb leds. It was fun pair the sparkly Christmas speaker with a little music keyboard to play live jingle bells 'live'”
