“Very easy to plug straight into an arduino and get working in minutes. Mine seems to have a ‘bounce’ which makes it trigger twice which is a bit annoying but perhaps that’s a quirk of how I’ve implemented it. I added a millis() check to my arduino sketch to ensure a grace period before actioning a second trigger and that’s done the trick.”
“At least in the UK, if you buy a TV outlet front face for an electrical socket, throw away the TV bits, the resulting hole in the face plate is perfect for this sensor. Makes a home built project look professional.”
“Really really good little device. Solves the problem with some clone type PIRs that drive the signal pin too high for the GPIO inputs. Saves on the voltage divider hassle. Also, smaller so easier to fit in a case.”
