“When building Radio devices with the Rpi02W, I am using a modified form of the CM108 SoundCard that interfaces with the OTG cable, and is controllable with the /dev/hidraw0 via the cable. It means that I can control a transceiver via the card and not use the gpio bus on the Rpi02W. Makes for miniaturisation of the whole interface. Ideally a shorter cable with two right angled plugs would be even better. One facing left and the other right would be superlative, so the two boards would fit in the smaller box.”
“An excellent solution when you have multiple Picos built into a project. Simpler and safer than hard wiring the power but removable so the Pico can connect to Pi for development.”
“Brilliant! Excellent! and just what I needed to connect my PiZero (plus Zerocam) to my RP Pico built into the lid of a Blue Tit nest box lid. This, not only powers the Pico but also enables me to control the Pico via Thonny on the PiZero via WiFi.
The Pico raises and dims the visible LEDS during daylight and swaps over to IR illumination at night - so watch out David Attenborough I'm on the way.... ;-)”
