“I'll leave the negatives for now, which are the reasons for a dropped star, but this really is a great piece of kit. Colour coding is set for length, so experience will mean that I will soon know exactly which wire to select for all breadboard spacings from linking adjacent slots to the full horizontal width, excluding the power rails.
Then there are four lengths that are longer than the width of a board (it's a shame I can't provide a photograph that I took). There's not really too much point to these unless there are many occasions when it is useful to move signals far up the breadboard. Unfortunately there are no jumpers that are sized to join power rails so, if I need to do so, I have to make up a wire or cut down one of these long lengths; I prefer to cut down a long length as they appear to be stiffer than from a reel. The fact is that I consider these longer wires to be a bonus as, even without these, the kit is great value for money.
It's a shame that packs of individual sizes cannot be purchased; I'm already down to the last of my last red jumpers.”
