“Excellent. Works perfectly, no voltage drop like on Ideal diodes XL0401(I have tried to solder them first, but even with good cables and original RPI 5 power supply there was voltage dropping which lead to throttling on RPI).
With this "5V USB-C Dual Supply - Dual Ideal Diodes" - no voltage drop/no throttling.
I have found 2 cases for 3D pritn. Tried them both. And from my perspective sqare shaped is much better than slim(triangle like) case.
But just in case you need, leaving the links to both cases:
- Square shape: https://www.printables.com/model/1176648-8086net-usb-c-dual-supply-ideal-diode-enclosure
- Slim (triangle like) : https://www.printables.com/model/1176648-8086net-usb-c-dual-supply-ideal-diode-enclosure
Great service and quality overall.”
“Not using it for the Pi but for my outdoor camera with two solarpanel. Shipping is fast, shippingcost some high to The Netherlands but if you want it you need to pay.”
“Had the issue to need power redundancy for a cheap 3port-switch. This is THE SOLUTION!
Works as expected, added a verry simple 3d printed housing and now it sits productive in my server room”
“Well made, well priced device that solves a unique problem. One suggestion for future version - adding 2 unpopulated holes to allow adding a 2 pin header to tap off 5v and Gnd would be a cheap addition and double the value IMO.”
“Great item, however I didn't really read the description.
I was after this to split a charge between 2 devices. Sadly this has the power coming from the 2 points into 1, rather than the other way.
If they made one the other way (1 to 2) I'd get another.
Saying that I have a use for this and it's still great. Just thought I'd share that it definitely doesn't work the other way around”
