“Very useful for getting something made fast. The addition of LEDs and buttons (and a buzzer) on the PCB means there’s more room on the breadboard for your own designs!”
“Very useful for developing with a raspberry pi pico, a quick means of connecting switches and LEDs. The switches switch to +volts when pressed, I'd prefer them simply to connect to ground when pressed, uncommitted, then one switch could be used to reset the pico by grounding the RUN signal. But that's not a great problem. I've used the plug board to mount some Neopixels, its quick and easy to do.”
“This is a nice piece of kit with which to start exploring the capabilities of the Raspberry Pi Pico, the only thing that lets it down is the manual, which is, at best, sketchy.
The GitHub resource referenced from the PiHut product page is painfully inadequate and the manual available through SB Components' web site isn't much better, although it does include the warning that: "Led's (sic), Buzzer and Switches are not internally connected with any GPIO of Raspberry Pi Pico, One can use any available GPIO pin of Raspberry Pi Pico with the help of jumper wires."
That said, all those components are earthed, so you only need one wire.
It is a shame about the 'manual', because, otherwise this is a five star product.”
“Very good kit as I'm learning the basics of microcontrollers. It arrived with a couple of the pins a little bent but it's nothing tweezers couldn't fix”
