“Bloody marvellous, so much quicker than an SD card. The only problem is that they marginally smaller than a 32gb SD card, which means you cannot clone from one to the other. I have to admit I was a little disappointed but I got over it.”
“Worked great out of the box. Copied entire OS from SDCard to RasPiKey via another computer. Random read/write speed is better than with SDCard. Write endurnace should be a lot better, but only time will tell. I followed the UUGear user manual (see their website) to confirm the fastest speed possible:
cat /sys/kernel/debug/mmc0/ios”
“Really good product. It seems a little expensive, compared to micro SD, but is well priced against reputable eMMC combined with a sd-to-eMMC adapter. And it just works! Also works on a Nanopi Neo3 without any issues”
“Works without any real problems on a Raspberry Pi 5. Two minor issues:
* It was it shipped with an older version of Raspbian, so the pi 5 complained about lack of compatibility at startup. Was fixed by re-imaging the Raspikey.
* I was unable to image the card under windows 11, but I was able to image it in linux (Ubuntu desktop + raspberry pi imager)”
“Better lasting than a standard microSD card. Performs a little better too. May not physically fit in some cases, fine with the official Pi foundation ones.”
