This was the plug and play solution i was looking for. Worked out cheaper than a SDR and filter combo too.

This is my second, not used it yet but I know these are the best. I paid over £500 for a box many years ago and these out perform them. Amazing Value well done

Bought this to replace a DVB-T stick that I was using to input data to the FR24 network. Astounded at the difference; its raised my average range from 88nm to 125nm. As well as a dramatic increase in range, my 'hits reported' and 'positions reported' have also increased significantly. I'm extremly happy with this stick and highly recommend it.

I have an awful lot of fun tracking planes and building diy antennas. It's a fun way to get into hobby radio.

Essential for ADS-B reception - these perform much better than a generic RTL2832U.

Excellent improvement over my rtl-sdr dongle. Range has gone up from 195nm to 244nm Getting much more positions reported and traffic levels have also gone up. I'm using a home brew antenna which is loft mounted and still getting good performance. I'm sure if I was to go for a proper external antenna I would be getting full range. It is a big improvement over the previous dongle. Good service as always with the PiHut and fast delivery and well packaged. If your using a Generic dongle and wanting to track ADSB Data get one of these you won't be disappointed.

Great little dongle and good value . Get an external antenna as high as you can, some decent lowloss coax (LBC240 or messi and paoloni ultraflex 7/10) and don't forget good sma /n connector too. This dongle will surprise you it has a built in filter which really makes a difference in comparison to a normal barebones sdr . Check out and search for the amazing weidehopf he is a wizard on the flightaware forums with the scripts and knowledge and has some.decent heatmaps and.range/performance charts you can add to your GUI.to maximise user experience and dongles functionality'
