“Great! Just what I needed. Good quality, did the job.
Just to be clear these headphone jacks are the switching type. The inner pins aren't there for 'extra holding power' like one reviewer stated. The inner pins are switched to the outer pins. The switch is made when there is nothing is plugged in. Plug in headphones and the contact is broken.
Perfect for adding a headphone socket to... let's say, an annoying kid's toy. Wire the internal speaker to the inside pins, the audio source to outer pins and when the headphones aren't plugged in audio is maintained to the internal speaker.”
“Does what it says on the tin! (Comes in a plastic baggie) fits a breadboard nicely. The pins are ground in the middle, and left and right on the outside, I thought they might be the inside ones, but they’re there for extra holding power!”
