“This is a widely used, effective, and reasonably accurate sensor. The communication protocol can be a little fiddly, but there are libraries for Arduino etc which handle that for you, making it very easy to work with. The only criticism is that you can only get a reading once every 2 seconds. That's not a serious limitation most of the time, but it's worth being aware of.”
