“Works nicely to keep the temperature below "scary". Intended to be used with a fan-equipped case, but had to move the fan outside the case as the heatsink got in the way. No big deal for my application, and the combination works well”
“I know the Pic wont let itself over heat but it will slow down if it gets too hot - which could be annoying - and I feel like it'll live longer if it runs at a lower temp. Might be kidding myself but for a few pounds I'd rather use a heat-sink than not.”
