“Be careful..... These do not work with the Pi 4B and the 45W PSU purchased from this site. Reading the blurb after I bought.... I still don't understand why.”
“I can see internal wires at the center switch. cba to return as will coat more than worth. ive purchased before. such is like. ive been offered a return but postage makes it pointless (not a fault of PiHut)”
“A nicely made product despatched rapidly as normal for The Pi Hut. I saw this browsing the shop and realised how useful it would be to save unplugging the USB cable.”
“I ordered 5 of these - for my Pi Farm - from the always-reliable PiHut. These are entirely reasonable push-button (push-on/push-off) switches suitable for activating and de-activating your Pi...
However, be warned, these do not appear to work with the official Raspberry Pi Power Supply / Plug/Transforer (the white one). I tried all 5 of my switches and none of them worked... but I also have a mains-powered 10-way USB hub... and they all worked perfectly when connecting through that. No idea why this would be the case - although the USB-C specification provides for 4 of the connections - A4, A9, B4 and B9 - to carry the +5Volt rail... so it's possible that the neither the adapter nor the switches connect all 4 pins - and that somewhere in the middle the 5V gets dropped. Shame, as otherwise perfect.”
“Great little device, as its shipped or as ive done disassembled and fitted i to a custom rack-mounted Pi holder. The power led is a very useful feature too, well worth the price.”
“Saves all the plugging in/out and the led is a handy indicator. Works ok with 'official' Pi 4 power supply and Pi 4B. Could not get it to work with other 5v adaptors.”
“Does the trick, makes it easy to turn off my Pi 4 in a pinch without having to reach behind a cabinet to power it off at the switch. Simple, effective and it just works.”
