“Depending on the workload, this heatsink does the job and is great. However if you plan to use it for cpu or gpu intensive use, especially when you consider overclocking (I have no need for that but even without that the heatsink gets hot) I would consider forced (fan) cooling.
As I bought the kit I wish I had bought the forced cooling that fits in the case. But there is nothing wrong with the heatsink itself, but it is horses for courses”
“Bought blue as black ones out of stock. Colour not required and black is far more efficient than any other colour hence 4 not 5 stars but it still very good”
“This is the first time I've fitted such a large heatsink - when first fitted to the SOC the WiFi connection was unreliable, once replaced with a smaller heatsink which didn't hang over the WiFi chip then the WiFi was reliable. The RPi4 was new and had just been configured/rebooted. However the new heatsink is so large that it could be cut in half to avoid the WiFi chip and still provide effective passive cooling for 2 RPi's.”
“A fantastic low profile heatsink allowing good heat dissipation and no noticeable negative impact on the effectiveness of the wireless/Bluetooth chip performance.”
“Great heatsink
Only thing it doesn't sit in memory chips as they are lower down
If you want to sink cpu,gpu then this is good, leaves enough room for a fan too in a official raspberry pi 4 case”
