“There are no values given for forward voltage and design current so how can anyone use them with confidence! Otherwise a good value kit.
I guessed at 2.0V and 25ma respectively and that seems to work.
To check colours put leads across a CR2016 battery. I know it's nominally 3.0 volts but it doesn't have the capacity to deliver 25ma so won't harm the LED.”
“I went to a certain well known high street store to get some LEDs recently. I thought that they would charge a reasonable price. Not being very experienced in this kind of thing, I paid £3 each for some bags of 10 LEDs - £9 total spend, 30 LEDs in return. Then I saw this box on the Pi Hut store and couldn't believe that I could get 300 LEDs of many many different colours for £6. Well that's me done with the high street for components from now on - I will use Pi Hut and others instead as this has been quite an eye opener for me.”
