“My first"Not happy" review. Ordered pi hat 2 mic in early Dec 25, but could not get it to work. Contacted Pi Hut and was advised to seek help from Seed, the maker. They were helpful, but it would not work after following their instructions. So I ordered another board just before Christmas. Unfortunately, the house number was missing and Postoffice returned it to Pi Hut. I was told it would be resent, but only after it was received back and that could take up to 15 days. So 2 hats bought, One didn't work, the other has gone walk about and My project is in limbo.
It's just one of those things. So my score this time is very low, But I must say Your service is near the 100% mark, but this time, it all went wrong.”
“Essentially doesn't work. Looks like support has been dropped off and I can't find any drivers to get it working. I've tried several repositories, official and unofficial, different versions and styles of Raspberry Pi OSes, but just wasted DAYS to just give up. If you need a sound and microphone, just use a regular Raspberry Pi with USB microphone - will save you a lot of stress.”
“First issue was that the software would not install via ssh using the ReSpeaker guidance, I finally worked out that I first had to install Git.
Once the ReSpeaker software was installed I then followed the instructions to detect the card, it wasn't being detected. I tried this on a Pi4 and a Pi 3 with no luck. It's now sat in a drawer until I have plenty of spare time :-(”
