Connected two cameras to pi 4 and both show grey output. Both cameras work fine directly on pi zero W.

It took me a little while to get the connection cable in correctly. It's a little fiddly. However the commands to take a tiny video and photo worked fine. Will get a pir and try automating a camera trap now. Note the new pi3 B+ abd snazzy adafruit case

Probably me being dim, but while there are loads of helpful information on how to connect the NOIR camera to the CSI, there seems to be very little on how to connect the NOIR to the adapter for the Pi3. Worked it out in the end, and works fine.

There is very little to say about a simple passive adapter cable. It is a piece of flat flex with cross-over connections to allow for the different contact orders, plus a normal ZIF socket for the zero camera ribbon. There is an extended length of plastic which the zero camera cable can be stuck to as can be seen in the product photo, but the one I have is narrower - the width of the zero cable.
