“Simple to assemble, nice compact design.
The hardest thing to do was trying to fold the camera cable without kinking it.
I used it with a Pi Zero W and MotionEye to use as a wildlife camera, together with a window mounted bird feeder.”
“I got one of these to set up a weather cam as part of my wunderground PWS. This is really the only good solution I've found for using a camera with ANY model Pi. Provides a great mount, and allows you to add hats to the Pi if need be (I've set it up with a Raspberry Pi Zero and a Raspberry Pi Zero W. The non-W model I have a hat on (so it lets me utilize the earlier purchases in a very productive way). The only drawback is that I'm not all that happy with how you have to fold up the cable between the camera and the Pi. I wish someone would come up with a better solution for that. Maybe a rounded cable with flat ends. That's the only part that feels poorly designed (but it isn't a fault of this board, it's a fault in the overall Pi design to not have some other camera cable solutions. The ribbon cable ONLY solution has been a problem for me in a couple of my Pi setups.
I'd also like some other ideas of how to mount it to non-smooth surfaces. I have looked at using some drywall screws (which fit thru the openings ok) as a way to mount it on wood, which would work. But a non-conductive but screw type mount would be a nice addition.”
“I have built 2 of these for monitoring my apartment. They have been incredibly useful I do wish they had a macro mount on them for even wider angles. Great product suction cups stick very well if you clean the mounting surface first.”
