“I initially could not get this to work- I tried 3 monitors, 3 cables and 2 PIs. 2 monitors simply claimed there was no input, but one said 'mode not supported'. I suspected the HDMI mode on the PI needed changing and I found this very useful (on this very site)

I followed the instructions, rebooted the pi and it worked straight away and works as claimed. An excellent way to reclaim an old VGA screen for use with a PI”
“Nice piece of kit. plugged it in and it worked. Shame it is printed upside down.I use it with my pc monitor so I can flip between the emulation and the real thing.”
“Solves the problem of not having access to HDMI monitor but uses available VGA screen. Don't use in centre of daisy chain of cables but at output end. 5 stars.”
