“Excellent kit with everything you need apart from a Pi, chassis and batteries. The box is pretty solid so makes a great starter chassis and the online instructions are pretty clear and assume no prior knowledge.”
“This is a great first step into robotics, I’m working through it with the kids who are both thoroughly enjoying what they’re doing. The accompanying worksheet works well and explains what is going as it goes along”
“Great fun my first robot project. Was able to connect up my wiimote through Bluetooth and drive the robot with the nunchuck. Next step is to try the line sensing mode”
“i have never built a robot before so this kit seemed like the right place to start. the kit is £18. i bought a powerbank for £10 and used a pi 3b+ and 4 aa rechargeable batteries that i already had just kicking about doing nothing. my only gripe is that the ball bearing castor wheel really isn't an ideal choice for the front and i will be sourcing a more standard style castor wheel to replace it. cannot imagine that will cost me more than a couple of quid so no biggie. i used the box the kit came in as the chassis. painted it with silver hammerite paint and used 'no more nails' adhesive to fix the electric motors to the chassis. having cut slots in the box to enable the powerbank sockets to remain exposed and to also allow cables to be threaded everything looks decidedly professional. also enabled vnc on the raspberry pi and this means i can control and program the robot without endlessly having to plug in screen/keyboard/mouse.”
“A nice set of components, just ad a pi and some sort of chassis (even a cardboard box) and you are good to go. Wasting time has never been such fun !!”
“when I ordered this it was out of stock but, the notification email was quick so ordered and was her. Not used yet as going to use as a rainy day project with my son”
“Easy to build, looks like a good intro to robotics and coding to control robotics. I would ask that its easier to get hold of the worksheets however. A lesson in GitHub shouldn't be part of the basic introduction to robotics. Thanks!”
