“Creating a Windows IoT setup for my Raspberry Pi couldn't connect to the Internet. Using this WiFi adapter instead of the one I bought earlier connected with no problem!”
“Having received my adaptor, I went for it, and plugged it straight in to a powered hub connected to an original 256Mb Model B. A quick "lsusb" showed it had been recognised, so I edited my wpa configuration file to add my SSID and wireless password, rebooted, and that was it, it was on the network.
I was able to access my NAS box, and other network resources.
On the newer models of Pi (Pi2, B+) by turning up the USB power, you don't even need a powered hub.
Of course, it's not all sweetness and light. When I took a Pi2 into the office, I connected the wired port to a simple network (one subnet, which is what most of us have at home), and the WiFi to our office network (with four subnet ranges).
By default, I wasn't able to see machines on three of the other subnets, but I easily added routing table entries and that was fine. Of course, most users wouldn't need to do that, so it isn't a big deal, just something to be aware of.
It's only an issue if you use the Ethernet port and Wi-Fi on different networks.
Overall, it's great value, and apart from wireless security, there's no setup - so no complicated "Where can I find a driver for this version of Raspbian" or any such nonsense.
If you want wireless for your Pi, I'd recommend this as a very good option.”
“Quality products, good prices and excellent service- Delivery was even faster than promised.
Very pleased to give a five star rating.
I have no hesitation in recommending "The Pi Hut" and have already done so.”
“I bought this as it would work straight out of the box, and it did.
Not as big as the PC Type dongles, but more chunkier than the unbranded 802.11n versions, also for sale.
It has been running for more than 24 hours at a time, and have experienced no drop-outs.
I've had it working on both ver.1 and ver. 2 RPi's.
I recommend it unreservedly.”
“very straight forward to use. I use it in combination with volumio. At first use, don't forget to update your system (sudo apt-get update) and install the driver. From there on you can enjoy a life with one less cable ;)”
