“Not sure if this is PiHut's fault but when I got the envelope with the small box in it everything was open. Envelope was open. Box was opened and the FLIRC case had a some scratches on one corner. Not sure how much PiHut is to blame but maybe the envelope could be a bit better sealed. Other than that I don't have anything to complain about.”
“Bought this for my Pi 2 which is used as a media centre, so wanted something better looking than plastic. This has an aluminium upper, with a thermal pad to dissipate heat from the Pi processor chip, and looks very smart indeed. All cables etc fitted without any problems. I really recommend it!”
“I was pleasantly surprised to receive this case and I have to admit that it looks much better in real life.
It seems that the aluminium part of the case can attach itself to the CPU via a double sided sticker in order to cool it down. Unfortunately, this sticker is rather think and it gave me the feeling that it might have the opposite effect, so I did not use it.
Nonetheless, it is a great looking case.”
“First of all I need to say that this is a slick piece of manufacturing. The rPi will fit, but please consider if you also have a 40 pin connector attached to your rPi (from the grey IDE cable that is used in PC's); This will not fit unless you physically remove the outter parts of the connecter (I wonder if this will cause the connector to fall apart :( )”
